Gin lovers delight! The Hare & Hounds is delighted to welcome Highclere Castle’s Lord Carnarvon for an exclusive gin tasting. One of Britain’s most iconic estates and home to Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle is just a short ten-minute drive from The Hare & Hounds. Their award winning gin is blended in one of England’s oldest distilleries, with botanicals found in the Castle’s Victorian Orangery and ancient Monks’ Garden, as well as a touch of oats grown on the estate farms.
Hosted by Lord Carnarvon, join us on 17th October to hear about the very beginnings of Highclere Gin followed by a tasting of this exceptionally smooth spirit with notes of juniper, orange, lemon zest, lavender and cardamom.
Highclere Castle’s very own Head Butler and expert mixologist Luis Coelho will be on hand to whisk up your choice of bespoke Highclere cocktail followed by a Q&A with Lord Carnarvon.
Guests are invited to dine in the restaurant following the Q&A with The Hare & Hounds’ signature cocktail, The Highclere Martini, included as a complimentary dinner drink with a pre booked table reservation.
Tickets cost £15 per person to include the gin tasting and choice of bespoke Highclere cocktail.
